Well, it's been awhile. Things are going pretty good at the new job and we have lots of new things going on.
You may have to excuse any typos or punctuation errors as I have given up (for the moment) and am writing today's post on my IPhone. I am having computer issues!!
I have a company issued laptop with all sorts of security settings. When I go to Blogger through Internet Explorer it says I don't have the correct browser. Said I needed to download Google Chrome. Did that. Still won't allow my to do anything. Said I need to allow cookies and enable Java Scripts. Followed directions and did that. (I think!). Still no work-y! Anyone out there have any idea what I'm doing or not doing that can fix my problem. I really want to get back to blogging. Help!!

31 Days of Love
For the next 3 weeks I will be Louisville, KY. I will be in school, getting trained for my new career at Humana. This was a prayed for position and one of my written visions of faith that has come to be. Glory be to God!
For the next 31 days, I will be drowning in my new career with training, getting my feet wet and what not, so I’m leaving you with theses links.
These are “31 Days of Love” links from http://www.time-warp.blogspot.com/ that Darlene did for the month of October.
"31 Days of Love" will challenge you daily to live beyond yourself, to put aside your preconceived ideas of what romance should look like, and seek out true love that is sacrificial and intentional.
This journey is merely a stepping stone of many that I pray will continue on in your hearts long past the 31 days.
Try to do just one a day, as I won’t be posting again until December.
Love to all!

The Pumpkin Parable
What it was like to be a Christian.
It's like being a pumpkin:
God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off you may have gotten from the other pumpkins.
Then he cuts the top off and scoops out all the yucky stuff.
He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc.
Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."
John 8:12 "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
2 Corinthians 4:6 "For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ."
Matthew 5:14-16 "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
Since this is the time for goblins and bats
Halloween parties and ghosts and cats
Weird costumes and strange masks too
These are the things I wish for you-
May the only ghost that comes to stay
Be the Holy Ghost to guide your way.
May the only spirits you chance to meet
Be the spirits of love & warm friends sweet.
These are Halloween wishes for you
And may God bless you in all you do.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN

The Book Mark
Joshua 1:7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the laws my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
My son Nathaniel brought me a book mark yesterday with a shortened version of the verse above and said, “Here Mommy. Take this with you on your trip.” Nate amazes me sometimes. He can be so sensitive to my needs. He made my day and couldn't help but get teary as I hugged him.
It was just what I needed.
Here in the next few days I will be taking a GIANT leap of faith. This is what I needed to calm my fears, my worry and my anxiousness. And even my little ten year old boy knew, the Lord will be with me. I mustn’t be afraid, but strong and courageous. A blind leap is to jump totally relying on faith, right? Well, my faith is in Jesus and I can do anything with Him by my side.
I’m ready! Let’s do this!

The More I seek You
We sang this song at church yesterday. I love love love the way it stirs His spirit in me.
His love for me is amazing. Thank you Jesus!
The more I seek you,
the more I find you.
The more I find you,
the more I love you
I wanna sit at Your feet
drink from the cup in Your hand.
Lay back against You and breath,
hear Your heart beat
This love is so deep,
it's more than I can stand.
I melt in Your peace, it's overwhelming.
the more I find you.
The more I find you,
the more I love you
I wanna sit at Your feet
drink from the cup in Your hand.
Lay back against You and breath,
hear Your heart beat
This love is so deep,
it's more than I can stand.
I melt in Your peace, it's overwhelming.
The more I seek you,
the more I find you.
The more I find you,

I wanna sit at Your feet
drink from the cup in Your hand.

Weather Report
WEATHER REPORT
~BJ Gallagher"Any day I'm vertical
is a good day"...that's what I always say.If you ask me,
"How are you?"I'll answer, "GREAT!"
because in saying so,
I make it so.When Life gives me dark clouds and rain,
I appreciate the moisture
that brings a soft curl to my hair. When Life gives me sunshine,
I gratefully turn my face up
to feel its warmth on my cheeks. When Life brings fog,
I hug my sweater around me
and give thanks for the cool shroud of mystery
that makes the familiar seem different and intriguing. When Life brings snow,
I dash outside to catch the first flakes on my tongue,
relishing the icy miracle that is a snowflake.Life's events and experiences
are like the weather -
they come and go,
no matter what my preference. So, what the heck?!
I might as well decide to enjoy them. For indeed,
there IS a time for every purpose
under Heaven. And each season brings its own unique blessings.AND I GIVE THANKS!How true it is! We all face adversity in our life. However, it’s not the adversity, but how we react to it that will determine the joy and happiness in our lives. During tough times, do we spend too much time feeling sorry for ourselves, or can we, with gratitude, learn how to dance in the rain?It almost sounds too simple to feel important, but one word…gratitude, can change your attitude, and thus your life, forever."When we choose not to focus on what's missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present...we experience heaven on earth."--Sarah Breathnach
“Life’s not about waiting for the storm to pass…It’s about learning to dance in the rain.”--Vivian Green

The Christian Mother
Being a mother is a very important role that the Lord chooses to give to many women. A Christian mother is told to love her children (Titus 2:4-5), in part so that she does not bring reproach on the Lord and on the Savior whose name she bears.
Children are a gift from the Lord (Psalm 127:3-5). Caring for our children, nurturing them, affectionately embracing them, meeting their needs, and tenderly befriending each one as a unique gift from the hand of God.
Several things are commanded of Christian mothers in God’s Word:
Availability – morning, noon, and night (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
Involvement – interacting, discussing, thinking, and processing life together (Ephesians 6:4)
Teaching – the Scriptures and a biblical worldview (Psalm 78:5-6; Deuteronomy 4:10; Ephesians 6:4)
Training – helping a child to develop skills and discover his/her strengths (Proverbs 22:6) and spiritual gifts (Romans 12:3-8 and 1 Corinthians 12)
Discipline – teaching the fear of the Lord, drawing the line consistently, lovingly, firmly (Ephesians 6:4; Hebrews 12:5-11; Proverbs 13:24; 19:18; 22:15; 23:13-14; 29:15-17)
Nurture – providing an environment of constant verbal support, freedom to fail, acceptance, affection, unconditional love (Titus 2:4; 2 Timothy 1:7; Ephesians 4:29-32; 5:1-2; Galatians 5:22; 1 Peter 3:8-9)
Modeling with Integrity – living what you say, being a model from which a child can learn by “catching” the essence of godly living (Deuteronomy 4:9, 15, 23; Proverbs 10:9; 11:3; Psalm 37:18, 37).
The Bible never states that every woman should be a mother. However, it does say that those whom the Lord blesses to be mothers should take the responsibility seriously. Mothers have a unique and crucial role in the lives of their children. Motherhood is not a chore or unpleasant task. Just as a mother bears a child during pregnancy, and just as a mother feeds and cares for a child during infancy, so mothers also play an ongoing role in the lives of their children, whether they are adolescents, teenagers, young adults, or even adults with children of their own. While the role of motherhood must change and develop, the love, care, nurture, and encouragement a mother gives should never cease.
